However, there are also fans who are willing to spend significantly more money. This includes an unknown player who is said to have purchased the most expensive skin in the history of the game.
As X-user (Twitter user) Jake Lucky explains, a single skin was recently sold for more than 1,000,000 US dollars (around 918,896 euros). It is the StatTrak variant of the “AK-47 Case Hardened” skin.
The special thing about this skin is that there is only one copy of it in the world. This is due, among other things, to the fact that the skin is one of the so-called “Blue Gems”. This is a name for “Case Hardened” skins that have a specific pattern in which blue is predominantly seen instead of the usual gold color.
Additionally, this is the StatTrak variant of this skin. In Counter-Strike 2, “StatTrak” is a type of weapon technology that allows you to track the number of kills on your weapon.
Compared to the standard variant of a skin, the StatTrak variants are approximately 10 times rarer. These various factors lead to the skin being one of the rarest and most sought-after skins in Counter-Strike 2.
