Ukraine is building new military units

It is still unclear whether and when Ukraine’s spring offensive will start. According to the leadership in Kiev, new brigades and units will also be deployed. The liberation of the Ukrainian territories has top priority, says President Zelenskyj.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine also wants to use new military units in its upcoming counter-offensive. “We are also actively preparing new brigades and units that will prove themselves at the front,” said the 45-year-old in his daily video address. His meetings with the General Staff are about providing all means to liberate Ukraine from Russian occupation.
“All of us in Ukraine must understand that the main task of the state is to liberate our territories, to bring back our earth and our people from Russian captivity.” State resources would be used primarily for this, said Zelenskyj. The front has top priority.
At the same time, the Ukrainian President thanked the Western partners who are helping Ukraine to defend itself as part of the Ramstein format. “Your determination fully reflects the actual situation and needs on the battlefield,” said Zelenskyy.
Almost 14 months after the Russian attack, Ukraine is preparing a spring offensive, the main goal of which is to liberate occupied territories. Most recently, it was said that the current period of mud could delay military action. In the coming weeks, however, the soil conditions should improve. At the same time, a massive increase in attacks on reconnaissance radar and other Russian electronic warfare equipment was recently observed. According to analysts, this indicates preparations for the Ukrainian attack.
