Is the newly divorced Kevin Costner newly in love? Now his alleged date, country singer Jewel, has spoken out.
Hollywood star Kevin Costner (69) has been legally divorced from his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner (50) since mid-February. He was already spotted with another woman in December: He is said to have flirted with country singer Jewel (49) as part of a tennis fundraiser in December. This now expressed itself in an interview with the lifestyle magazine “Elle” about her alleged date.
As the journalist who wrote the article describes, the singer was like “an open book” at her appointment. “He’s a great person,” Jewel is said to have said in conversation, even blushing. She also added that “the public’s fascination is certainly great.”
Here Kevin Costner hooked up with Jewel
As the celebrity portal “TMZ” reported in December, Costner was on Necker Island, an island in the British Virgin Islands group, for the fundraiser organized by the singer. Photos from the event showed him getting up close and personal with Jewel.
According to TMZ, the two are said to have spent more than a week together in the Caribbean. An insider said: “There was definitely something going on. They were flirting and when they’re together, they both have a spark.” Another insider added that the pair tried to be discreet: “But anyone who saw them could tell there was something going on.”
Jewel Kilcher is an American singer and actress. She has released more than 13 albums and sold over 30 million records. In 1999 she appeared alongside Skeet Ulrich (53) and Tobey Maguire (48) in “Who Rides with the Devil”. In 2021 she won the US version of “The Masked Singer”.
Jewel is also said to be single at the moment. From 2008 to 2014 she was married to rodeo star Ty Murray (54), with whom she has a son. Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner married in 2004 and had children Cayden (16), Hayes (14) and Grace (13).
