Court acquittal – hunters detained poachers until police arrived

Because of a poacher, the local hunters were particularly attentive to the raids through the districts. One night two guards noticed the glow of a lamp in a bush in a forest. Assuming they had caught an armed poacher, the hunters forced the stranger to come out of the bushes at gunpoint. “I’m a probe walker and look for objects with the metal detector,” replied the completely surprised man. The device is still in the bushes. The hunters did not believe the man with the events of the rampage in Annaberg (Lower Austria) in 2013, when a poacher shot three police officers and a paramedic. They forced him to kneel down and hold hands up to wait for the police they had alerted, who arrived about 15 minutes later.
