Johnny Depp has to read his ‘murder fantasies’ out loud

The process between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp was now about news and recordings, to which he had to answer questions.
On the last day of the trial in the court dispute between the ex-couple Johnny Depp (58) and Amber Heard (36), the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star found himself once again on the witness stand – this time cross-examined by Heard’s lawyer Ben Rottenborn. According to media reports, it was about various short messages that Depp sent to friends and that are supposed to reveal the drug abuse and the dark thoughts of the star.
Alleged murderous desires, which Depp is said to have expressed in various SMS, were discussed again. Rottenborn asked Depp to read several messages to his friend and neighbor Isaac Baruch out loud himself. The actor complied but not without first clarifying: “I just want to say that I’m not proud of the language I used in this rage.”
Among other things, one of the messages reportedly mentions the idea of Heard’s “body rotting in the trunk of a Honda Civic.” A text message to fellow actor Paul Bettany (50) was also mentioned again, in which Depp allegedly spoke of wanting to drown Heard and burn her body. It was “shameful” statements, Depp said, but he had a habit of reacting with “black humor”.
Did he also live out his violent fantasies?
Rather, Depp affirmed repeatedly and under oath: “I never got to the point where I hit Ms. Heard in any way. I’ve never hit a woman in my entire life.”
Rottenborn contrasted this statement with an audio recording in which Depp allegedly admitted to having inflicted a headbutt on his ex-wife. Depp’s explanation: He was just trying to “tame Ms. Heard. If she tried to break free and kick me, any form of movement, then with that close it’s not impossible that [unsere Köpfe] bumped into each other.” To describe this as a headbutt is “pretty extreme,” said Depp.
Depp confirms asking for cocaine
A big item on the agenda was also the conflict in Australia in 2015, in which Depp lost the tip of his middle finger. Depp once again claimed that the injury was caused by a bottle thrown by Heard. Meanwhile, their lawyer hinted at the possibility that Depp self-inflicted the injury while intoxicated.
For that argument, he confronted the star with another text message he sent the day after the incident. He wrote to an employee: “I need more of the white stuff ASAP, mate. And some of the E, please. I’m in bad, bad shape. Don’t say anything, to anyone.”
Depp has now confirmed in court that he spoke of cocaine and ecstasy in the message. “But it doesn’t say anything about me taking the drugs.” Next time will be Depp According to US media, Rottenborn will have to ask questions again next Monday (April 25).
