Shanghai Disneyland closed on Monday due to an emergency lockdown decreed by Chinese authorities. Visitors trapped inside can no longer exit the park grounds until they test negative for coronavirus. China is the latest country to implement a zero Covid policy.

An emergency confinement decreed by the Chinese authorities, forcing visitors to present a negative test for Covid-19 to leave.

67,000 visitors trapped

Whole families came to celebrate Halloween for whom the evening ended in hell. More than 67,000 tourists have been trapped after a single positive case of Covid-19 was discovered at Disneyland Park in Shanghai. Since then, the images of these tens of thousands of panicked tourists trying to get out of the park have been circulating on social networks.

The fear of being locked up is spreading throughout the country

The authorities have decided to cordon off everyone for a large part of the night, the time to carry out screening tests. The contact cases have been placed in solitary confinement and the others must stay at home for 48 hours. The fear of being locked up wins the whole China where more than 200 million people are currently confined.

In the center of the country, hundreds of workers even escaped from the Foxconn factory, Apple’s main subcontractor, which employs more than 200,000 people. Positive cases of the coronavirus have sown panic and led to the flight of workers, anxious at the idea of ​​being trapped in the factory. Site managers have promised to pay 55 euros a day to workers who agree to stay to work in Beijing. In the meantime, the police are on their trail.
