Covid-19: confined for 14 months, he catches the virus upon release


His extreme caution was not enough. A 43-year-old man residing in Villeurbanne (Rhône) contracted Covid-19 during one of his only exits from a fourteen-month self-containment.

During the deconfinement announced in May 2020, the man had indeed preferred to stay at home.

Frightened by the coronavirus, he had maintained his professional activity by teleworking and carried out his shopping online, according to information from Progress.

He nevertheless left his apartment from time to time to join that of a woman he had met on the Internet, with whom he shared a phobia of Covid-19.

Their romance, however, will come to an end when the man is forced to go to a work seminar.

He had indeed, during the event, forgotten the barrier gestures, and a few days later, the first symptoms of Covid-19 appeared for him as well as for her.

Unvaccinated, the man and his companion, however, had not developed a serious form. But the mishap definitely sealed their breakup.
