Public Health France recorded 111,583 cases on Saturday evening in twenty-four hours, or around 30,100 less than a week ago.

The decline in Covid-19 contaminations that has begun in recent days continues. Public Health France recorded 111,583 cases in 24 hours on Saturday evening, or around 14,000 less than the day before and 30,100 less than a week ago.

The average of infections over the last seven days stands at 120,665, against 134,876 a week ago. This decline is accompanied by a slight decline in hospitalizations. Thus there are 24,894 hospitalized patients, including 885 new admissions, against 23,474 hospitalized patients a week ago. Among these patients, 1,630 are cared for in critical care units which treat the most serious cases. This is a little less than the day before (1,652), but still more than a week ago (1,543).

On Saturday evening, the disease had killed 45 people in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the death toll in France to 144,122 since the start of the epidemic more than two years ago.

On the vaccine side, nearly 54.30 million French people have received at least one dose (80.5% of the total population) and 53.39 million are fully vaccinated (79.2% of the total population). In addition, 40.69 million people received at least one booster dose.
