IForeign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian tested positive for Covid on Tuesday March 15 in the morning. He immediately isolated himself, he announced on Twitter as he took part in a visit to Rennes alongside Prime Minister Jean Castex.
“In accordance with the health protocol in force, I isolate myself at the Quai d’Orsay for the time necessary and continue to work remotely,” added Jean-Yves Le Drian on Twitter. The head of government announced the news during his speech at the prefecture of Rennes. “I have to apologize to you. [du ministre] who has just tested positive for Covid”, revealed Jean Castex. And to add: “I reassure you, he is fine, he has isolated himself, he will continue his mission”, but “he cannot be by my side this morning”.
