The Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne, announced on Tuesday that the health protocol in companies would disappear as of next Monday, March 14. Here is what will change.
End of mask wearing
The disappearance of the health protocol from Monday March 14 marks the end of wearing a mask in the workplace. “This good news I think many were waiting for,” welcomed the Minister of Labor.
Thus, it will no longer be compulsory to wear your mask at your office or to move around within the company. This measure is similar to that relating to the end of wearing a mask in closed spaces.
End of physical distancing
Another major change, the disappearance of the health protocol in the company leads to the end of physical distancing. It will, for example, once again be possible to take the elevator with several people or to bring offices closer together.
The rules of distancing in collective catering will also end from next Monday. It will then be possible to share his table again with his colleagues.
Maintaining a hygiene protocol
“We are going to resume normal rules in business. I told the trade unions and employers’ organizations that we would keep a practical guide so that everyone knows where to find the general rules that apply”, however took care to underline Elisabeth Borne.
This practical guide will recall in particular the hygiene instructions, but also the importance of disinfecting work surfaces or even regularly airing offices and premises.
Requested by CNEWS, the minister’s office specified that this practical guide would be put online on the website of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Integration, from Wednesday March 9.
TELEWORK subject to employer-employee agreement
If the rules of compulsory teleworking in companies had already ended a few weeks ago, Elisabeth Borne recalls that the rules surrounding this practice must now be defined “in the dialogue within the company between the employer and the representatives of the employees.”
The Minister believes that many companies will keep teleworking in their habits.
