What is Cowboy’s electric bike promotion?
Cowboy offers three VAE models starting at €3,290. The Cowboy Classic, Cruiser and Cruiser ST electric bikes are currently benefiting from a €800 reduction on the official Cowboy website, thanks to the code RIDECOWBOY, to be placed in the basket. They thus see their price increase to €2,490. Note that the promo code only works with black models.

What is the Classic Cowboy?
The Classic Cowboy model offers a clean, rather elegant design, if you like styles that go to the essentials. The cables are integrated into the frame and the whole thing is very minimalist. The finishes are perfect, with the fewest visible welds. The mudguards are visually successful and integrate well into the whole, as do the integrated lights at the front and rear. Too bad they are not as effective as real dedicated lighting. Despite its sporty appearance, the Classic and its 250W motor and 45 Nm of torque are not particularly nervous. The machine is smooth and quietly reaches the regulatory speed of 25 km/h.
Two assistance modes are available: Eco mode and “Adaptive Power” mode. The latter adapts the power delivered by the engine according to road conditions, or your pace. The mode works perfectly well, and you will only have to worry about the road. In terms of driving, moreover, its low stem makes you adopt a leaning position which can be disturbing, but offers a lot of maneuverability. The assistance varies constantly and provides a pleasant driving sensation, as well as theoretically optimized autonomy. Allow between 40 and 80 km, depending on the road or weather conditions.
Are these Cowboy VAEs worth the promotion?
€800 reduction is of course an excellent deal! Apart from the Classic model, the Cruiser and Cruiser ST models differ somewhat. The Cruiser has a wider, raised curved handlebar, as well as a higher gear ratio. The position is more upright, for a more comfortable ride. The ST model has an open frame and a more padded saddle.
Where the bikes come together is in their implementation of the dedicated Cowboy app, available on iOS and Android. The application allows you to unlock the bike via Bluetooth connection, turn the lights on or off, or change the assistance mode. Unfortunately, if you want to do without the app, you won’t have any other interfaces to communicate with your bike. The smartphone is almost essential if you want to have access to basic, even essential, functionalities, such as turning on the lights.
