Fashionably every few years we grab our saddles and head west. This year, too, cowboy boots, hats and the like rule the It girls’ wardrobes.

The western trend is back! Or was he ever gone at all? But how do you wear the cowgirl style in 2022? The Scandi girls showed us how: more casual, cooler and, above all, more authentic than ever.

Western trend: The must-haves

The cowboy boots

A few years ago, fashion houses like Fendi, Isabel Marant and Co. gave us the comeback of cowboy boots. They came with high heels and in glamorous patent leather. This year, however, we’re going to be a little more relaxed. We rely on original cuts and colors: Flatter heels and more muted tones are now popular. Those who like it particularly authentic can scour their local vintage shops for used boots. The slightly worn look underlines the western style perfectly and to be honest – used boots are much more comfortable and cheaper than new leather boots anyway. So what more do we want?

The cowboy hat

If you thought you only found cowboy hats during Mardi Gras season or at the local line dancing club, you’d be wrong. Because the hats are now suitable for everyday use – well, at least suitable for everyday useeeer. Anyone who is not yet 100% sure about this statement accessory can approach the trend with a relaxed straw variant on the beach. If you want to make a real statement, gather all your courage and choose the felt version.

The denim shirt

While cowgirl style in the past we either resorted to the dreamy version with ruffles, flounces and Co. or the XXL variant in an oversized cut, we wear that denim shirt now very classic. There are no frills, because we let the waisted cut speak for itself. The look is particularly cool and modern in combination with flared jeans. bandana add to that and the rodeo look is done, on the dolly parton would be proud! And to be honest, even if we should perhaps orientate ourselves a little less to Dolly when it comes to the hairstyle, the style icon has always known where to go.
