According to the manufacturer, this can save up to 50 percent on heating costs compared to other classic heating devices. Please note that the heater is powered by electricity, which means that there are operating costs that can vary depending on the electricity tariff.

At the same time, electricity-powered infrared heaters are suitable for converting excess energy from a balcony power plant or a solar system into heat – sometimes this is cheaper than feeding it into the general power grid and heating with fossil fuels.

The integrated LED display offers an intuitive user interface that enables control and individual adjustment of the heating. Among other things, you can adjust the temperature manually and display both the room temperature and the desired temperature. You can also easily view time settings and energy consumption via the app.

In Smart mode, the desired room temperature is maintained and the heating is automatically adjusted in the event of temperature fluctuations, for example due to an open window. If you activate night mode, the brightness of the LED display is reduced; alternatively, you can adjust the lighting as you wish.

The manufacturer states that the heaters are made from environmentally friendly materials and cover an area of ​​up to 30 square meters. AENO relies on simple assembly without additional tools. The heater is attached to the wall or floor using the brackets and feet provided. A tilt sensor and a child lock should ensure the necessary safety.

Who is it worth buying for?

With an asking price of around 230 euros, the infrared heater from AENO is in the higher price segment, but you can benefit from smart functions and cover a large living area with one radiator. The heater is also suitable for use in rental apartments thanks to its easy installation. People with allergies can also benefit from infrared technology, as less air and therefore less dust is stirred up.

The operating costs of an infrared heater depend heavily on the respective electricity tariff and can be an important aspect when deciding for or against this type of heating. You should therefore not only keep an eye on the purchase price, but also long-term costs.
