Crash on the set of Dropped: the ALP company indicted for "manslaughter": Femme Actuelle The MAG

Sports fans are getting ready to celebrate a very sad birthday. Six years ago, almost to the day, on March 9, 2015, ten people lost their lives in the crash of a helicopter in Argentina, during the filming of the show Dropped, which has never been broadcast on TF1. Among them were Florence Arthaud, Camille Muffat and Alexis Vastine. The relatives of the victims have not stopped expressing their anger, several years after the accident. In 2021, this drama continues to pour the ink of the newspapers. According to our colleagues from theAFP, Monday March 8, 2021, the company Adventure Line Productions (ALP) – which also produces Koh Lanta or the France 2 television program, Fort Boyard, would have been indicted in February 2021 "for manslaughter".

Is the budget dedicated to air transport underestimated?

A criminal investigation was opened a month after the accident. Nicolas Roussel, the production manager and that ALP had been placed under the status of "assisted witnesses". A fear for the civil parties who feared that they would not be referred to the criminal court. However, in early 2019, a security officer during the shooting was the first to be indicted for manslaughter. Subsequently, in 2020, the prosecution then turned to Nicolas Roussel, suggesting that ALP could also be implicated.

ALP lawyers were contacted by AFP and wished to recall that the production company was presumed innocent and that he "is in no way an admission of guilt"."The ALP teams remain deeply affected by the accident which claimed the lives of their colleagues, pilots and some participants. They remain determined to demonstrate that all material and human resources have been put in place to ensure safety."added Masters Pierre-Olivier Sur and Mathias Chichportich.

ALP, according to a source familiar with the matter, would be accused of having underestimated the budget prepared for air transport. Would also be covered; the selection of pilots and helicopters on exclusively financial criteria, without taking into account the safety of persons. In France, the company has already been sentenced for "inexcusable mistake". A criminal investigation is also opened in Argentina.
