Always lots of Ferraris
There were no other new additions to the all-time best list. The third most expensive automobile in 2023, a Mercedes-AMG F1 W04-04 from 2013, was already well below the entry level of $26.4 million at $18.8 million achieved in Las Vegas in November. In fourth place is a Ferrari 250GT California Spider SWB from 1962 with a whopping $18 million, which was achieved by auctioneer Gooding on Amelia Island in April. This was followed in July at Artcurial in Paris by a Ferrari 250LM from 1962, which took fifth place of the year for $17.2 million.
