If you only want to create logos, diagrams, fonts, etc. once and then have them available in different sizes without any loss of quality, then we recommend using vector graphics. A deterrent for many: professional programs such as Adobe Illustrator are really expensive. A good and free alternative is the open source tool Inkscape.
The new Inkscape 1.1.2 is not a big major release, but it is still an important update that you should definitely have on your computer. It takes on over 60 issues, improves language support, and fixes some extensions that have been causing issues since the last major release. Since the final version 1.0 there are many exciting new features that you should definitely discover. Since then, Inkscape has supported various themes and you can store your own preferences in the settings. A dark theme is also possible, as is the classic Windows look. Also important: Even high-resolution displays are now supported by Inkscape.
With [STRG] + [UMSCHALT] rotate the drawing area while scrolling; mirroring is also possible using a menu command or shortcut. For export to PNG there are additional options in the advanced settings. Inkscape is a vector graphics program similar to Adobe Illustrator. It offers many tools, supports a lot of graphic formats and is also good at handling text. So it’s great for designing logos or drawing diagrams. Inkscape is also worth a try if you want to design posters for projects.
To work, they can use freehand drawing tools as well as pre-made shapes. Once you have drawn objects, you can subsequently change them, such as enlarging, tilting, rotating or grouping them. You can use layers to arrange various objects hierarchically and design them using fillings or contours. Cloning tools save a lot of work.
Inkscape works with SVG graphics, but can also import Illustrator files or files from Corel Draw or Visio. The range of functions can be further increased via extensions.

You can still spend a lot of money on vector graphics programs or try Inkscape. With extensive professional tools and a clear user interface, Inkscape is a real insider tip. If you are new to this area, you should plan a certain training period. Inkscape is definitely worth a test run before resorting to expensive special software.
