For years now, Creative Technology has been offering products essentially geared towards the world of sound (dedicated cards, loudspeakers or headphones).
With its new Zen Air DOTs, the brand intends to democratize access to true-wirelesssince this model is launched at a price of € 29.99.
Despite an ultra-aggressive price, the headphones do have a few advantages. The Zen Air DOT are true wireless compacts and light; the earphones and case together weigh only 33g. Autonomy is announced at 7 hours per charge and the case would provide up to 2.5 additional charges. The case has a USB-C connector to recharge in turn and the set is only available in black.
The headphones rely on specially designed 13mm neodymium drivers. Creative announces that its headphones produce “powerful, detailed sound with deep bass and clear mids and highs“. A great promise therefore for less than 30 €. In addition, the Zen Air DOT incorporate two omnidirectional MEMS microphones equipped with ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology to reduce the impact of wind and surrounding noise during a phone call.
Bluetooth 5.3, multipoint but only in SBC
The headphones are Bluetooth 5.3 compatible and incorporate multipoint functionality, allowing them to be connected to two sources simultaneously, but only support the SBC codec. The icing on the cake, the Zen Air DOT have an IPX4 protection index and are therefore resistant to splashing water.
