Creators of Owlboy Announce Savant – Ascent Remastered

Developed by D-Pad Studio members in their spare time while working on Owlboy,Scholar – Ascent is based on a very simple principle. A sorcerer, here designated by the nickname ofAlchemist, was thrown down from his tower by an unknown enemy. Listening only to his desire to do battle, he leapt onto the roof of the elevators launched at full speed which should take him to the top of his stronghold. Except that on the way stand thousands of enemies determined to reduce it to the state of elementary particles. The magician with false airs of Guy Fawkes will therefore have to shoot at everything that moves, while jumping from one elevator to another, hoping to survive long enough to find his penates.

Carried by the ultra-nervous soundtrack of composer Savant, whose real name is Alexsander Vinter – alias Vinter in Hollywood, alias Vinter in Vegas, alias Datakrash, alias Megatron… the Norwegian musician has more than 10,000 titles to his credit and is more prolific than an STD in a swingers club on a crowd-night, Scholar – Ascent was one of the indie sensations of 2013, and won the title of Game of the Year 2013 awarded by GameMaker. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of their first software to arrive on the market, D-Pad Studio will therefore split a remasterwhich the developers promise anything but lazy.

Simon Stafsnes Andersen, one of the founders of the Scandinavian studio, said in an official press release: “our studio is well known for creating Owlboybut I think a lot of people don’t realize that we released a game before that. Savant – Ascent Anniversary Edition is a fantastic way to introduce this title to a new audience and provide a completely renewed experience for fans of the old title. I hope everyone enjoys trying out the game that gave birth to D-Pad Studio when it launched this summer.

On the program of novelties, we will note: the improvement of the visual aspect of the whole game, the addition of new levels and new bosses, new abilities and new movements, and cutscenes completely redone. Savant will once again be in charge of the OST, with new music. Finally, Survival mode has been improved, and will include new enemies and bosses. And to add even more peppers to the already spicy recipe, the creators of Owlboy stated that the bosses in the game will appear randomly when ascending in the Survival world. Owl (Owlboynice… Sorry.) Savant – Ascent Remastered is expected for this summer on all platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and mobiles.
