PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Crédit Agricole Assurances and the Italian infrastructure fund F2i announced on Friday evening the signing of an agreement to acquire from the Spanish conglomerate Villar Mir wind farms in operation (53 megawatts of capacity) and wind projects at an advanced stage of development (430 megawatts of capacity), located in northern Spain.

F2i will acquire 60% of the wind energy portfolio through the Fonds V – Fondo per le Infrastrutture Sostenibili, while Crédit Agricole Assurances will hold the remaining 40%.

In addition to the wind power portfolio, the two groups added that F2i would also acquire a 40% stake in EVM, an electricity retail company, as well as a short-term option to acquire the remaining 60%.
