Crédit Agricole Assurances: Nicolas Denis is appointed Managing Director

(Boursier.com) — Meeting today, the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole Assurances appointed Nicolas Denis as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2024. In this capacity, Nicolas Denis will join the Universal Bank division supervised by Olivier Gavalda, Deputy Managing Director of Crédit Agricole SA and will join the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole SA
He will succeed Philippe Dumont who will retire at the end of the year after 27 years of commitment to the Crédit Agricole group.

Nicolas Denis began his career in 1990 at BNP Paribas. In 1992, he joined GPA Assurances, a Generali group company, as actuary and then marketing manager. He joined Finaref in 1998 where he developed the insurance business for six years before being appointed marketing and direct distribution director and then sales director.
In October 2008, he joined the Crédit Agricole Center Est Regional Bank as Deputy General Manager and supervised the private banking and corporate, credit development and agriculture, human resources and communications departments. In 2013, he joined LCL as Deputy General Manager, responsible for the banking technologies and services departments, the Ile de France network departments and the online network. In 2016, he became Managing Director of the Crédit Agricole de Normandie-Seine regional bank.
Nicolas Denis has held numerous mandates since 2017 within the various Boards of Directors of the Crédit Agricole Assurances group. He was notably Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole Assurances from July 2020 to July 2022, then Chairman of Pacifica, Chairman of the Audit Committee of Crédit Agricole Assurances and director of Predica until February 2023.
On March 1, 2023, he was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Predica, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and second effective manager of Crédit Agricole Assurances.
Aged 56, Nicolas Denis is a graduate of ENSAE, an IAF actuary and a graduate of CHEA (Centre des Hautes Etudes d’Assurances).
