(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission announces that it has approved, under the European Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of BBPM Assicurazioni, Vera Assicurazioni and Vera Protezione, all three based in Italy, by the Crédit Agricole group based in France and by Banco BPM Group, based in Italy.
The transaction mainly concerns the insurance sector in Italy.
The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns, given the limited market position resulting from the proposed transaction.
