At a Halloween party, in addition to the decoration, the food is also important. These recipes are simple, tasty and give you goose bumps.

On October 31, the motto is again: “Trick or treat”. If you don’t feel like roaming the streets and stealing sweets, you can throw a Halloween party at home. But not only the costumes should match the motto, but also the menu. These recipes are guaranteed to get the guests in a scary mood.

Simple pumpkin soup

The pumpkin soup belongs to autumn like the colorful leaves. That’s why it looks great at a Halloween party. To do this, sweat a large onion and three cloves of garlic with a little oil, chilli flakes and ginger in a large saucepan. Then add the pumpkin meat cut into cubes and fry briefly. Pour in half a liter of vegetable stock, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 25 minutes.

If the pumpkin is soft, stir in about 200 milliliters of coconut milk and puree the soup with a hand blender. Finally, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. If you like, you can add some curry powder. Instead of using pumpkin seed oil for the garnish as usual, grab the chilli sauce on Halloween. This looks like a drop of blood.

Creepy peppers with filling

This pepper not only tastes great, it also looks terrifying. To do this, cook 150 grams of bulgur according to the instructions on the packet. In the meantime, peel and finely chop an onion and a clove of garlic. Clean 200 grams of champions and cut into slices. Fry 400 grams of minced meat in a pan with a little oil. Then take it out and roast the mushrooms in it. When they are golden brown, add the onions and garlic. The minced meat and a tablespoon of tomato paste are added at the end.

Then add 150 milliliters of vegetable stock and a can of tomato strains. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, basil and chilli. Simmer on a low flame for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, wash four peppers and cut off the lid. Cut creepy faces into the pods – there are no limits to your imagination. Place on a baking sheet with baking paper and cook at 175 degrees convection for about 15 minutes. Put the lid on after about seven minutes. Finally, just fill the minced mushroom mixture into the peppers and serve.

Eerie rice salad

This salad looks like a tangle of insects. For the side dish, cook 80 grams of wild rice, 100 grams of basmati rice and 50 grams of quinoa according to the instructions and allow to cool. Roughly chop 30 grams of whole almonds and toast them in a pan with 30 grams of pine nuts. At the same time, cut an onion into thin strips, fry in sunflower oil for five minutes over the highest heat and add to the rice.

Chop 15 grams of parsley, 10 grams of basil and 5 grams of tarragon. Wash the rocket and add to the cooled rice together with the sour cherries and the remaining herbs. Finish with a dressing made from olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.

Bloody dessert

A dessert should not be missing at every good Halloween party. For bloody cakes, cut a vanilla pod in half and scrape out the pulp. Then mix with 220 grams of flour, 50 grams of melted flakes and a packet of baking powder. Then add 70 grams of applesauce, 250 milliliters of milk and 80 grams of honey and stir well. Beat the white of three eggs until stiff and fold into the batter.

Place small blobs of dough (20 in total) on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the oven at 160 degrees. After about 15 minutes, take it out again and let it cool down. In the meantime, chop 150 grams of white chocolate and melt over a water bath. When the cakes have cooled down, turn them over once and brush with the white chocolate. For the horror factor, mix 125 milliliters of cherry juice with a tablespoon of cornstarch and bring to the boil in a saucepan. When the mixture has cooled down a bit, spray over the cakes. The bloody dessert is ready.
