L’Ukraine joked and multiplied the jokes on Saturday after the explosion of a vehicle bomb on the Crimean bridge, strategic and symbolic infrastructure of this peninsula annexed by Moscow, without going so far as to claim responsibility. CCTV footage posted online showed a giant explosion at the Moscow-built bridge that connects Crimea to mainland Russia.

In these images, the source of the explosion appears to be a white truck driving on the bridge at night alongside a few other vehicles. The blast damaged both the highway and the railroad. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense compared this attack to the one that sank the cruiser Moskva in the Black Sea in April, another “symbol of Russian power in Ukrainian Crimea”. “What else awaits you, russkofs?” he wrote offensively on Twitter.

Ukrainian Post wants to prepare a stamp

The kyiv security services (SBU) for their part published on Telegram hijacked verses by the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko on “the Sun rising on the burning bridge”. “Today is a perfect opportunity to revise some poems by Taras Shevchenko,” quipped the SBU. The Ukrainian Post has announced that it is preparing to print stamps bearing the image of the “Crimean bridge, or, more precisely, what is left of it”. His boss Igor Smelyansky posted the design of these new stamps on Facebook, showing an explosion on the Crimean Bridge and another ironically taking up an iconic scene from the film titanic.

The Ukrainian Post had already printed stamps to celebrate the destruction of the cruiser Moskva and others showing a Russian tank being towed by a Ukrainian tractor. No Ukrainian official, however, has claimed direct responsibility for the attack on the bridge, which comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was close to the heart of the project, celebrated his 70th birthday on Friday.e anniversary. Ukraine had already multiplied the jokes and ironic comments during explosions that damaged Russian bases in Crimea last summer. She did not admit to being the cause of these explosions until several months later.
