Crimson Rivers: does Jean-Christophe Grangé still participate in the writing of the series?

After three successful first seasons, France Télévisions has announced the broadcast of the sequel to the series Les Rivières Pourpres from this Monday, September 19. But will this 4th season once again be faithful to Jean-Christophe Grangé’s novel? Discover it without further delay.

Whether it is the novel or its version in a television series, The Crimson Rivers are a real success. So much so that after having broadcast three seasons of its Franco-German co-production, France Télévisions has announced that a fourth season will be scheduled from this Monday, September 19 on its France 2 antenna. The eight episodes that will compose it will be divided into four evenings in prime time. Wonderful news for fans of the master of the thriller, Jean-Christophe Grangé.

As they are used to now, viewers will find all the emblematic actors of the series. Olivier Marchal will still play the role of Commissioner Pierre Niemans while Erika Sainte will still be in the costume of Lieutenant Camille Delaunay. Baptiste Sornin, Hubert Delattre, Benjamin Georjon, Diane Dassigny, Francesco Mormino, or even Cathy Grosjean will accompany them to complete this lovely cast.

Jean-Christophe Grangé still participates in the writing of the series Les Rivières Pourpres

But a fear could be legitimate: did the successful author Jean-Christophe Grangé continue to put his paw on the television series? Well, like the first three seasons, the answer is…yes. The French writer has decided to continue the adventure to make the production of France 2 and Storia Television as faithful as possible to his novel. To help him, he was supported by Olivier Prieur, Mathieu Leblanc, Thomas Mansuy, Raphaël Luc in writing the screenplay. For their part, David Morley, Akim Isker and Arnauld Mercadier took care of the production.

In order to wait before the broadcast of the first two episodes of this Monday evening, here is the summary of this fourth season: “Commissioner Pierre Niemans and Lieutenant Camille Delaunay are once again called to the four corners of France. Explosive and inseparable, they will have to support each other more than ever, in the face of the strangeness of their new affairs.A killer dressed in a suit straight out of a secret society in Nigeria who sows terror in an isolated village, varnished corpses within a Fine Arts Institute with a sulphurous reputation, a center for serial killers hidden in the Landes forest, or even a plunge of our investigators into a very special voyeurism… The investigations that await Niemans and Camille always take a turn stranger, always more unexpected”.
