Every week, and more precisely every Thursday at 5:00 p.m., a new free game is invited to the Epic Games Store. Developed by Dreams Incorporated and published by Modus Games, Cris Tales is an action-RPG paying homage to the great names in JRPGs. As a young chronomancer, Crisbell bears the heavy responsibility of saving Crystallis and the surrounding kingdoms from the Empress of Time. Her adventure leads her to meet companions who do not hesitate to help her in her task. But it is the girl’s unique powers that will determine the future of this world.
Cris Tales is a unique game, playing with different temporalities and their interaction. Many riddles and puzzles are therefore present to exploit this mechanism, but the fights also derive many benefits from it. The phases are played on a turn-by-turn basis, with each character having their own initiative and unique skills. An innovative and cute game, but which sometimes struggles to take advantage of its ideas.
