The protest movement against Binyamin Netanyahu’s government is spreading to Israeli army reservists, who are threatening to refuse to serve.

En suspending a reservist pilot, the head of the air force, General Tomer Bar, probably wanted to set an example, thinking thus to contain what the media buzz calls “the revolt of the reservists”. A justified decision insofar as, said General Bar, “Colonel Gilad Peled had organized and coordinated the refusal to serve reservist pilots”. The ace ! Faced with considerable emotion, in the country, within the Air Force itself but also in the media – we even saw two hosts of a very popular talk show suggesting that their guests sign a petition in favor of Peled – the “boss” of the air force, visibly taken aback, backpedaled at top speed.
