Crisis VRigade TEST: when the Time Crisis typed rail shooter invites itself into virtual reality…

Don’t look for a big story or an advanced scenario, here we embody the forces of order and we have to stop the bad guys! Crisis VRigade puts us in the shoes of a member of the SWAT in full action in three rather short, but intense scenarios, based on a rail shooter. We have to uphold the law in the most evil city the world has ever known. For this, we are equipped with a main handgun, but during our experience, we flush out various utensils, as well as bonuses, which are used until exhaustion.

A pleasant experience.

While the game is very reminiscent Time Crisis in principle, it is VR that brings the little touch that was missing at the time. Our survival depends, for example, on our ability to take physical cover. Playable in cooperation with a friend, each of the three levels in which we evolve is composed of several scenes which follow one another fairly quickly after each exchange of bullets with the enemies, subject to having preserved the civilians.

The title is however quite difficult and leaves little room for error. Fortunately, the games are linked quickly and the frustration vanishes in a snap of the fingers in the face of fun. Crisis VRigade offers a few different branches, but the ending is always the same. The objective here is therefore to complete all the missions with the highest possible score. So yes, this production ends in minutes, but it offers good replayability to avoid boredom.

Crisis VRigade is quite beautiful and plays on minimalist graphics in low poly while maintaining a very appreciable aesthetic coherence. The 3 levels are quite varied and nervous, while being accompanied by a sound environment worthy of the best Hollywood blockbusters. For a ridiculous price of €4.99 at the time of writing, it’s a nice experience that manages to entertain us with ease, alone or accompanied by a friend. Action and pleasure are at the rendezvous, so why deprive yourself of it?
