(Boursier.com) — Criteo today announced the unification of its Retail Media and programmatic activities into a single solution within its independent commerce media platform. It will be the only independent platform able to offer retailers on-site advertising, sponsored product ads as well as programmatic advertising on the Internet through leading publishers, connecting 22,000 marketers with thousands of media publishers, including 150 retailers worldwide.

Market-tested by GroupM, this new solution will combine sponsored ads and on-site display with off-site ads through leading publishers. It will function as a one-stop-shop for marketers looking for secure, first-party data-driven advertising environments.

Criteo’s acquisition of IPONWEB will amplify what advertisers can achieve with retailers by helping them grow their audiences through enhanced off-site advertising. The recent partnership with Deliveroo also highlights potential media publishers that advertisers will have access to.

Media commerce benefits all stakeholders, creating a lucrative revenue stream for retailers. According to a recent study, 96% of retailers that offer advertising space on their online sites have a “waiting list” of brands wishing to place ads. Nearly a third of them (32%) now also offer offsite opportunities to advertisers, as part of the expansion of their offer.
