Dancing naked and lots of drugs? Anyone who thinks that rapper Cro only celebrates extravagant parties in his adopted country of Bali is wrong.

Cro (30, "Easy") is back, but only musically for now. The rapper announced a few days ago that he wanted to release his new double album "trip" at the beginning of April. Carlo Waibel, his real name, produced the songs almost exclusively by himself, in Bali. Cro retired to a rented villa there some time ago. In the "Spiegel" interview he now talks about his time on the Indonesian dream island.

It is not the case that he runs "naked in circles" with his people and takes drugs all the time, says Cro about his life far away from Germany. Even parties apparently only play a very subordinate role: "I hardly go out because I play music all day." Some time ago the musician said in an interview with the podcast "Hyped Radio" that a return was not necessarily planned: "Yes, I would say that I currently live here." At least it is more his home than Germany.

Shit storm after corona comment

The musician, who is very active on Instagram, is of course not immune to a shit storm at home. In a video at the beginning of the Corona crisis, he chatted about the fact that the virus had come to slow everything down. At that time he tried to find a romance in the pandemic, he now explains in the "Spiegel". It was only in retrospect that he realized the extent of the catastrophe. Corona is also on Bali, but at least most of the rooms in his house are open: "It's a lot more airy here."
