Crown Prince Haakon of Norway amused the guests at the dinner in his honor with a Bavarian greeting.

In honor of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway (50), the Bavarian state government hosted a festive dinner in the Munich Residence on Monday evening. As photos from on site show, the mood was good, which the royal guest also contributed to with his speech. At the beginning he greeted the party with a Bavarian greeting, as can be seen and heard in a clip on the Bavarian government’s Facebook page: He amused his audience with his “Dear guests, hello to everyone.”

In addition to a lot of political celebrities, this also included Bavarian royals such as Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis (63), Ludwig Prince of Bavaria and Sophie Princess of Bavaria. The latter even got a seat next to Haakon at the long table. His wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit (50), will only join the Norwegian prince at the Berlin station.

A special connection

In his welcoming speech, the Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (67) called Norway, among other things, a “holiday and longing destination for many people from Bavaria”. And this is where the Neureuthers come into play, who were also invited and visibly felt comfortable in the illustrious group. Recently, the winter sports couple Miriam (33) and Felix Neureuter (39) unintentionally made headlines related to Norway.

After she spoke in a podcast about her desire to move to Norway with their three children for a year, rumors began circulating online about the couple’s alleged love break-up. However, this went against the grain of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen native, that she made a clear statement about it on Instagram.

“Okay wow… the online titles are turning over again and the stream of news about why I want to leave my husband and emigrate to Norway doesn’t let up. All I can say is: you’re completely crazy!” wrote Miriam Neureuther to a sweet couple photo in one post. The rumors are heartbreaking, after all, her husband is her “everything.” She explained: “I just talked (in a joint podcast WITH my husband) about what a dream it would be to take our children to Norway for six months so that they can learn the language properly!”

Miriam Gössner, as she was called back then, lived in the Scandinavian country for some time because her mother comes from there. The ex-biathlete speaks fluent Norwegian and has both German and Norwegian citizenship. She now wants to pass on her roots to her children – “nothing more, nothing less!” said Neureuther at the time.

Last night, her anger at the misunderstanding was no longer visible. In her high-necked dark outfit, she was beaming from ear to ear at the festive table – despite her bandaged finger. By the way, duck, red cabbage and potato dumplings were served there.
