The second corona case in the Danish royal family after a year: Crown Princess Mary has tested positive.
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark (49) has been infected with the corona virus. The royal family confirmed on Instagram the corona case. Accordingly, the wife of Crown Prince Frederik (53) tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. The princess is now in quarantine at Amalienburg Palace in Copenhagen.
It is not yet known whether the princess has symptoms. Other family members have not yet been found to be infected with the virus, it is said. The Crown Princess will now remain in isolation until it is safe to give up according to the applicable guidelines.
The infection of Crown Princess Mary falls on the same day that the infection rate in Denmark is again at a record high.
It is the second case among the Danish royals since the pandemic began. A year ago, the 16-year-old son of Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik, Prince Christian (16), was infected after a corona outbreak in his school.
