The Swedish royals show the Norwegian royals their homeland

It is no secret that the Scandinavian royal families get along very well with each other. This is proven once again by a current snapshot from the holiday together, which the Swedish are now publishing via Instagram. The photo was taken last Saturday, September 11th, 2021. It shows: Crown Princess Victoria, 44, in the arms of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, 48, next to Prince Daniel, 48, with son Oscar, 5, Crown Prince Haakon, 48, is laying lovingly hands on the shoulders of his daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 17, who in turn has a trustworthy Princess Estelle, 9, in her arms. Of course, the family dog Rio is also there.

“Last weekend, the Crown Prince family spent some beautiful late summer days on Gotland together with the Crown Prince, Crown Princess and Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway,” says the Swedes’ social media account. And further: “The Scandinavian heirs to the throne maintain close contact with each other. The Crown Princess’ family appreciates being able to spend time with their Norwegian friends and relatives and show them this unique part of Sweden.”

Princess Mette-Marit keeps appointments again

Has Princess Mette-Marit, 48, recovered? In the past few weeks, the Crown Princess had to cancel appointments again and again; the 48-year-old suffers from chronic pulmonary fibrosis. But her condition seems to have stabilized. The court announces that the Crown Prince couple will go on their annual provincial trip from September 28th to 30th, 2021 – together. The destinations of the three-day tour are the municipalities of Indre Østfold, Våler, Moss and Fredrikstad.

Various appointments are set between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. or 3 p.m., such as a visit to a nursing home, a gallery and a riding tour on the beach. However, there are no evening receptions, as was common in previous years. Is this out of consideration for Mette-Marit? On the 2019 provincial tour, she already had a shorter program than Prince Haakon, 48.

A few days before the start of the provincial tour, the crown prince couple will receive young people from projects of the couple’s fund for lunch at Gut Skaugum on September 23, and one day later Haakon will take part in a board meeting of the fund. Mette-Marit is not entered in the calendar for this, but it may be added at short notice.

Prince Albert’s daughter Jazmin Grace Grimaldi is celebrating her stage comeback

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, 29, is making her comeback as a singer. In 2019, the illegitimate daughter of Prince Albert, 63, and the American Tamara Jean Rotolo, 59, started her pop star career. Due to the corona pandemic, she was unable to perform with her band in and around New York for months. At times, Albert’s daughter was even infected with the corona virus. After all that is over, Jazmin can finally start again.

With a series of pictures on Instagram including emotional lines, the musician documents the long-awaited performance evening and writes: “Last night was magical! It’s so exciting to be on stage again, to see all your beautiful faces singing along and with such talented people We are back, my friends and fellow artists! I am so grateful, my heart is full. Thank you to everyone who has come to support us. “

Princess Victoria and Co. are humiliated live on TV

Actually a nice tradition: On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Princess Victoria, 44, Prince Daniel, 48, Queen Silvia, 77, and King Carl Gustaf, 75, will celebrate the opening of the Swedish Parliament, like every year. However, the festive act, broadcast live on television, becomes an uncomfortable test of patience for the royal family. But what happened?

The opening of parliament consists of a solemn first session after a service, which begins with the MPs singing the King’s Song, which was written in 1844. That is what tradition demands. For this purpose, Carl Gustaf stands in front of the plenary as the royal head. But that year several members of parliament refused to sing along to the song – as a sign of protest against the monarchy. The actually popular Swedish royals were humiliated in front of the cameras. In the social media, the MPs involved were sometimes attacked harshly. A user punished their behavior as “immature, rude and stupid”, for example. After all, Victoria, Daniel and Co. got a lot of support. The majority of the members of parliament, however, sang along diligently.

Prince Nikolai separates from his first own apartment

After only one and a half years, Denmark’s Prince Nikolai, 22, is giving up his apartment in downtown Copenhagen. A step that surprises. Although it is known that the son of Prince Joachim, 52, and his former wife Countess Alexandra, 57, will start his studies in Paris, the Danes still expected that he would keep his place of residence at home.

The 70 square meter apartment is offered for sale on the Danish housing portal “Boliga.dk”. The property is a town house, the living space of which is spread over three floors and which even has a roof terrace. It has been owned by Nikolai since January 2020. At that time he had bought it for 4.1 million crowns (around 551,000 euros). Now the 22-year-old wants to sell his previous home for 5.5 million crowns (around 739,640 euros). A nice financial cushion for his new start in the French capital.

Will Prince Philippos and Nina Flohr now also say “Yes” in church?

It would be the third time that Prince Phillipos, 35, and his wife Nina Flohr, 34, celebrate their bond with family and friends. According to exclusive information from the Greek magazine “Secret” and the journalist Sasha Stamati, the church wedding of the son of King Constantine, 81, the last monarch of Greece, and the Swiss businesswoman will take place in October 2021 in the Cathedral of the Annunciation in Athens. Accordingly, one of the most important social events of the year is currently being planned, at which several royals and wealthy business people are expected, insofar as the health measures allow. There has been no confirmation of the wedding plans from the Greek royal family themselves.

The couple already got married in St. Moritz on Saturday, December 12th, 2020. Because of the corona pandemic, the wedding was very modest at the time. Only the immediate family was present. Both fathers, ex-King Konstantin and Thomas Flohr, 61, acted as groomsmen. In June, the couple toasted their marriage with around 30 guests in their British hometown of Cambridge. Now the happy couple are obviously hoping for a bigger festival that will do justice to their love.

Prince Frederik and Co .: Everyone was at the “Royal Run” – except for Prince Christian

The entire Danish Crown Prince family spent themselves on Sunday (September 12, 2021) in the “Royal Run” – except for one: Prince Christian, 15. But where was the son of Prince Frederik, 53, and Princess Mary, 49?

The fun run founded by Prince Frederik has already had to be postponed three times due to the corona pandemic. Finally the time has come. The Danish heir to the throne ran for a good cause in four cities. His wife Mary was on duty in Aalborg and the children Princess Isabella, 14, Prince Vincent, 10, and Princess Josephine, 10, competed in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. Even cousin Prince Felix, 19, celebrated his running premiere. Only Prince Christian was missed by the spectators.

The Danish tabloid “Billed Bladet” wants to know the reason for his absence. In August, the royal offspring started at the Herlufsholm boarding school. The rule there is that the students are only allowed to go home every other weekend. There were no classes on Sunday, but attendance was compulsory – even for the future heir to the throne. That was certainly entirely in the interests of his parents, because Frederik and Mary attach great importance to the fact that their children grow up as normally as possible and – in this case – are treated like all other classmates.
