Investing.com – Youtube is arguably the largest video platform in the world. But with this seemingly relentless growth comes problems. While the number of hours of video uploaded per day continues to increase, the growth of serious companies’ advertising budgets is not keeping pace.

For years already, the income of content creators has been declining due to increasing competition. For the supply of fresh content not to be interrupted, the platform must stabilize its income. That is why it was decided to allow the distribution of dubious advertisements.

From coaching to trading to building wealth with virtual real estate, there are many things that Youtube and content creators certainly make money with, but that deceive the users of the platform.

Elon Musk has already criticized more than once the fact that we can constantly see fraudulent advertisements on YouTube.

Apart from serving ads, there are also other ways to steal money from YouTube users. On September 7, Apple (NASDAQ:) introduced the new iPhone 14 during a Youtube live stream.

This event, which was advertised well in advance, gave a scammer the idea of running a livestream alongside the Apple event, tricking users into thinking they were attending the original event.

The scammer positioned his channel at the top of search results with matching tags and released a recording of an event from 2018.

It featured an interview with Apple CEO Tim Cook. At the same time, an airdrop allegedly organized by Apple was being promoted. To participate, all you had to do was send a small amount of to a wallet.
