After a remastering of the original trilogy which did not totally convince, Crytek now wants to continue the saga Crysis with a new episode for the moment called Crysis 4. The title is still temporary, as production is still only slightly advanced and its naming may still change between now and launch.

Proof that development is still in its infancy: Crytek just found a Game Director to carry out the project. This is Mattias Engströmwhich the Frankfurt-based company was poached from IO Interactive : the gentleman was indeed so far Game Director on Hitman 3an episode whose qualities crowned the trilogy with success Worlds of Assassination. He had previously worked as Level Designer on the 2 previous parts of the series Hitman, Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Revelationsamong others. Crytek otherwise looking for other talents for several key positions, from Lead Game Designer to Art Director.
Despite everything, the project is already in good hands: while waiting to see it come to fruition, Crysis Remastered Trilogy is available from €35.92 on Amazon.co.uk.
