By redeeming Crystal Dynamics at Square-Enix, Embrace Group not only got its hands on a creative force and hundreds of employees. He also recovered the rights to several licenses, such as Legacy of Kain, unfairly shelved for too many years now. We suspect that with a new portfolio in their hands, Embracer Group wants to capitalize on it, and as quickly as possible, which is why Crystal Dynamics is now surveying its community regarding the return of the series.
What future for Legacy of Kain?
The studio has uploaded a poll dedicated to Legacy of Kain, which answers several questions about the future of the series. You can take part yourself, and answer a whole series of questions.
After questions about vampire games in general, Crystal Dynamics asks us what form we’d like the series to return in, with the following choices:
- Remaster of one of the episodes
- Remake of one of the episodes
- Series reboot
- A suite
If nothing is done yet, the establishment of such a specific survey is enough to give some hope for a return of the series. If you carry the latter in your heart or if you are simply curious to see it return to the front of the stage, it is therefore sufficient to express your interest to Crystal Dynamics.
