CS:GO – FaZe and NaVi in the Legends Stage of the IEM in Rio, Vitality can still hope for a place

We already know the first qualified for the IEM Rio Major 2022, with in particular FaZe Clan who was the first to secure a place in the Legends Stage.

FaZe Clan was the first team to qualify for CS:GO’s IEM Rio Major 2022 tonight. The team engaged in European RMR A, and winner of the last Major, the PGL 2022 in Antwerp, did not fail to qualify. At the end of round 3, FaZe is in the lead, just like Ninjas in Pajamas, with 3 victories in 3 meetings. The two European competitors will therefore be transferred directly to the Legends Stage for the next Major.

Whether Cloud9 and Sprout are favorites, Team Spirit, Astralis or even Fnatic can still qualify during the last rounds of the RMR which take place this afternoon. On the CMA B side, Natus Vincere and ENCE have already secured a spot on the Legends Stage, while BIG, Mouz or Team Vitality are in the running for the other tickets. Finally, on the NA side, Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid will play a tiebreaker on October 9e to decide who will be in Legends and who will go through the Challengers. The other places are decided tonight.

The IEM Rio Major 2022 will take place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil, with the top 24 teams from all regions battling it out for a $1 million prize pool, as well as tickets to the BLAST Premier 2022 World Final and IEM Katowice 2023.
