CSGO: kennyS leaves G2 Esports and formalizes his return to France

Rumors had announced him back in France for some time and it is now official. In a message on the networks, the Franco-Saudi organization Team Falcons Esport made official the return of kennyS to the country. The French sniper had just been honored by G2 Esports in a tweet announcing his departure.

Legend, superstar, icon

After years of landmark images and wrist-breaking flicks, today we part ways with @G2kennyS

Thank you for all you have done for CS over the years, take care Kenny

CS:GO veteran and Team EnvyUS legend Kenny “KennyS” Schrub joined G2 Esports in 2017, team with which he won the ESL Pro League S5, the DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017 or the BLAST Premier Spring 2020. But he was much more absent for almost two years. After a lackluster end to the 2020 season, he was benched by his team. His return to the roster at the end of 2021 as a substitute brought G2 to the semi-finals of the IEM XVI Winter.

The 27-year-old sniper, multiple champion, had been trying since 2021 to set up an orgless structure with young talents. Ultimatelyhe takes Maka’s place at Falconafter more than a year and a half of inactivity.

I am very excited and happy to have the opportunity to play again! I am aware of the challenge that awaits me (a vlog with more details will be published during the day), I want to thank my teammates and Team Falcons for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.

For French fans, this is great news: kennyS will once again be alongside the other French star NBK-, with whom he won the DH Open in Cluj or ESL One Cologne in 2015. The player will make his debut this Wednesday evening in the European Development Championship S6 against LDLC-OL.
