Barely two months after his return to CS:GO at MOUZ, the French player was benched after poor results in the Pro League.

Barely two months after his return to competition, at MOUZ, the Frenchman Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt is already benched by his team. Following a stint at Valorant, the veteran of the CS scene returned to his first love. Team Envy’s return project did not end at the end of last year and it was therefore to the German team that the 27-year-old player turned to return to service.

But the big January announcement quickly gave way to disillusion. Eliminated in the second round of play-in at IEM Katowice, MOUZ has also just been eliminated from its group in ESL Pro League 15 (just like G2). In the process, the structure announced the withdrawal of the Frenchman, replaced by Jons “JDC” de Castro, promoted from MOUZ NXT academy. According to the leaders, it is he who will play the end of the season “and potentially the Major”.

The head coach explains his decision:

After a disappointing EPL, all attention is on the RMR now. We have decided that JDC’s attitude, positivity and communication will be vital for the team going forward. We know it’s difficult for Nathan, but we strongly believe in the positive impact of promoting Jons.

The team is now aiming for qualification for the PGL Major in Antwerp with the European RMR which starts in a month.
