The season on CS:GO goes by quickly and there is not really time to rest. The next big event will take place in Germany with the IEM Cologne and its million dollar prize pool. Team Vitality will obviously be there and the bees will start gently by rubbing shoulders with the Asian team TYLOO. The roster has shown clear progress lately, as evidenced by its final at the last stop of the BLAST circuit in Lisbon. This beautiful course has also been transcribed in the HLTV ranking. The Franco-Danish roster has scraped small places and is once again in the top 5!

Vitality returns to the top 5

Team Vitality started the year in 3rd place in the world hierarchy. But after very average performances which are mainly explained by communication problems, the bees were ejected from the top 5 in March. French and Danes had trouble finding each other and overall the team was not doing very well. She was struggling to pull off a reference match and she barely qualified for the last Major. Critics multiplied and part of the community had already run out of patience.

But Team Vitality managed to rekindle the momentum during the Spring Finals of the BLAST circuit. The Bees finished in 2nd place, notably winning two consecutive Bo3s against IN THIS and G2. Thanks to this performance, the team goes back to the 5th place in the HLTV ranking (+5 spaces). This ranking is volatile and does not mean everything. But it remains a good indicator for measuring the balance of power at the moment T. Symbolically, this is very good news. After months of grimacing, Vitality fans have reason to smile.

G2 and OG, the other two winners

Two other teams made small leaps in the standings thanks to the Lisbon tournament.

  • G2 (semi-finalist): the Samurai grab 2 places and find themselves 6th in the world hierarchy.
  • OG (semi-finalist): OG grilled the priority to the competition by gaining 11 place. The team is now in 13th place. Often underestimated, she has shown that she is capable of surprising her world.

It’s almost anecdotal, but Navi has also regained its dolphin position behind FaZe. ENCE downgrades it to 3rd position.

Monuments are maintained, loved and respected, especially when they are French. Unfortunately, a venerable tricolor, former Major winner and still active has lost his starting spot. The news may not be so bad though, come to think of it.
