William Petersen and Jorja Fox are celebrating a comeback as crime scene investigators: The popular series “CSI: Vegas” is back with new episodes.

“CSI: Vegas” is celebrating a revival: According to US media reports, the broadcaster CBS has ordered new episodes of the series. According to “The Hollywood Reporter” William Petersen (68) and Jorja Fox (52), the stars of the original. The two are back in action as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle in the new episodes. Wallace Langham (56) is said to slip back into the role of David Hodges in “CSI: Vegas”.

“CSI: Vegas” premiered in October 2000 and ran for 15 seasons until 2015. The popular series also had some spin-offs such as “CSI: Miami” (2002-2012) and “CSI: NY” (2004-2013 ) and “CSI: Cyber” (2015-2016). In addition to Petersen and Fox, the original cast of “CSI: Vegas” included Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, Gary Dourdan and Paul Guilfoyle. After Petersen had left the series, Laurence Fishburne took over the post of “CSI” boss in 2008. Ted Danson later slipped into this role.

The series revolves around a team of crime scene investigators who gather and examine evidence to solve murders. In the new episodes, your laboratory is facing an “existential threat,” it says in advance, bringing together a new team of forensic investigators and experienced laboratory experts. New here are the actors Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is enthusiastic about the series comeback: “I’m looking forward to bringing back the CSI franchise to all of our fans, who have been so loyal to us for all these years,” he said in a statement. “And being back in Las Vegas, where it all started over 20 years ago, makes it even more special. We enjoyed working with CBS on this project and look forward to welcoming Billy, Jorja and Wallace again, when they join a new group of talented actors in CSI: Vegas. ”
