Culinary and culture summarized and presented in a particularly enthralling form – that’s what lies behind the successful program “Culinarical”. The concept works perfectly and is already in its seventh edition this January at the Brigittenau Vindobona. The premiere will take place this evening, January 10th, at 7:30 p.m., with further dates to follow until the end of the month.
Vindobona managing director Wolfgang Ebner and musical actress and choreographer Rita Sereinig are once again responsible for this year’s program. “Culinarical 7.0”, as the current version is called, takes the audience on an epicurean journey through the largest musical metropolises in the world: Vienna, New York and London, tailor-made for fans of music and cuisine. It began on a small scale in the background of the program is that Ebner was once surprised with a musical gala including dinner for his birthday nine years ago. The Vindobona boss liked the concept, which was initially kept private, so much that it developed into a traditional show spectacle. The concept is simple: Each edition of the “Culinarical” follows a specific show concept in different acts, with a 3-course menu tailored to the respective event served in between. The musical cast consists of top actors and talents such as Melanie Gebhard, Daniela Lehner, Sarah Zippusch and Lukas Weinberger. Andreas Brencic takes over the musical direction, creative visuals by Christian Ariel Heredia ensure a special visual pleasure. From the classics “Falco” and “Elisabeth” to Broadway hits like “Romeo & Juliet” and “The Book of Mormons” to successful Westend productions like “Back to the Future” and “Les Misérables” – “Culinarical 7.0” promises a musical journey through time in a class of its own. Nine dates in Vienna “Culinarical 7.0” will take place on a total of nine evenings from today until January 28th at Vindobona in Vienna-Brigittenau.
