Indeed, it is thanks to this resource, generated by your followers, that you will be able to obtain divine inspiration and thus unlock new structures, to improve your community. Thus, it is not to be neglected as it governs your entire adventure, until the end.

The tips and advice offered below are given for information only and also correspond to the choices we made, especially for doctrines, during our run on Cult of the Lamb. Thus, this list is not exhaustive and could be supplemented with different and new entries. Nevertheless, these tips might still help you, if you need earn more than devotionon the title of Massive Monster and Devolver Digital.

• Ask as many people as possible to pray.
  • Do not neglect the other workstations.

• Regularly empty the devotion gauge of the Altar.
  • If you don’t and the gauge is full, followers will stop praying.

• Increase the loyalty level of your followers.
  • For this, you can interact with them and use Bless or Inspire actions.
  • Remember to perform one sermon a day, every day.
  • You can also give them gifts and complete their quests.
  • In addition, it is possible to unlock the Confessional or the Ritual of Ascension.

• In general, make sure that your gauges of hunger, insalubrity and faith remain in the green.
  • This makes your followers happy. In this sense, you could also build decorations.

• Offer a talisman increasing devotion gain to your followers allocated to prayer.
  • Thus, you could increase your earnings quite easily.

• Unlock the Cult II, Cult III, and Cult IV upgrades, as a priority, when you can.
  • This is how you can increase the number of faithful who can pray.

• Obtain and build the Tabernacle structure and its upgrades.
  • Once you have it, place the item in places where your followers work, such as those at the farmer’s post, the mine or the lumberjack’s post, for example. This will allow you to recover devotion as well as resources, at the same time.

• Unlock the Purifier Pack and its Tier II and III upgrades.
  • By fueling the purifying fire (with wood or grass) in the Altar and Tabernacles, you can significantly increase your devotion gains.

• Improve adept habitats by building pleasant Shelters.
  • While sleeping, followers will provide devotion that you can recover.

• Place several Zealots around your Altar and praying followers.
  • Don’t forget to feed these Zealots with gold bars, as regularly as possible.

• Build Devotional Totems around your farm plots.
  • Followers working on the farm will thus generate devotion.

• If necessary, boost your gains in devotion by performing specific rituals.
  • Thanks to the Ritual of effort, the followers work tirelessly for 2 days, without getting tired and resting.
  • The Ritual of Awakening allows you to increase the speed of generation of devotion, and this for 3 days.
  • Via the Faith Guard Ritual, you will appoint a follower to oversee the cult and increase follower loyalty.

• Don’t forget to collect the devotion generated and available: on the statues of the Prelates in the dungeons, at the Lighthouse on the Chemin des Pèlerins or near Ratau’s house in the Solitary Cabin.
