From April 5 to 10, the Canneséries Festival offered Pierre Niney and his team the opportunity to unveil the first episodes of their new series, “Fiasco”. In collaboration with Igor Gotesman, known for his work on projects such as “Five” or “Family Business”, This series will be available on Netflix from April 30. During the festival, Pierre Niney shared details about this season composed of 7 episodes lasting 35 minutes each, thus answering questions from the media.

After Casting(s), where Pierre Niney revealed the crazy behind the scenes of auditions for a film, the rest was obvious for the actor: “It was necessary to show in a similar style the atmosphere of a shoot” says the actor in an interview for Madame Figaro. The latter will also play the main role, Raph, a not very charismatic director: “it’s a kind of bad Ben Affleck in a rotten Ridley Scott” explains Pierre Niney. He will have the opportunity to evolve alongside other famous actors and actresses such as Géraldine Nakache, Pascal Demolon, Leslie Medina and François Civil.
Fiasco tells the story of Raphaël Valande, a young director who seeks to create his first ambitious feature film. Unfortunately for him, he will have to face an incredible number of problems, each as absurd as the next, which will transform the filming into a real nightmare. The whole thing seems to be filmed as a making of to add a comic and realistic side which could work well for many spectators.
