Final season for The Umbrella Academy
Netflix continues its tease with the long-awaited release of the trailer for the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy. Set against the backdrop of the famous 1986 song “The Final Countdown”, the images reveal the Hargreeves siblings leaving their routine to reform their team one last time. As we recall, the episodes are based on the graphic novels by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, this fantastic series which follows a family of adopted brothers and sisters with superpowers, united to prevent the end of the world. This season has an unexpected challenge in store for them: living normally. The previous season ended with a reset of the universe, resulting in the loss of their powers. In the trailer, Ben Hargreeves, played by Justin H. Min, uses his octopus tentacles to confront an enemy in a fight scene that we can’t wait to discover.
For this final season, well-known actors are added to the original cast. Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally play Doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau, New Mexico professors suffering from déjà vu, according to information given by Variety. David Cross, meanwhile, plays Sy Grossman, a shy businessman and family man desperate to reconnect with his daughter. The six-episode final season premieres on Netflix on August 8. After which, we will have to say goodbye to the characters.

Before that, we also remember that the fourth season of The Boys will arrive this summer, this time on Prime Video. The first three episodes will be available from June 13, with weekly broadcasts leading up to a finale on July 18. The last episode ended with an epic showdown between Butcher (Karl Urban), Homelander (Antony Starr) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) . The series, followed by millions of subscribers, has been praised by critics and spectators, obtaining 93% and 83% respectively on Rotten Tomatoes. It has even already been renewed for a fifth season, although the next one has not yet been broadcast. Showrunner Eric Kripke reacted with humor to this announcement: “Working on The Boys might just be the best experience of my career.
