“Dune, Second Part” is currently in theaters and we are only talking about it: if you want to try the experience, perhaps it would be wiser to (re)watch the first opus… and indeed, there is has a tip to watch it for free.
Dune 1 to watch for free!
When you search the web, there are always good deals left and right… but it’s clearly not easy to find your way around. However, certain tips should be pointed out and the one in question today concerns Dune, the famous film by Denis Villeneuve released in 2021.
First part of the adaptation of the legendary science fiction work by Frank Herbert (the best-selling SF novel in history, no less), the feature film plunges us into the sandy lands of Arrakis, a distant planet at the center of a conflict between several civilizations. An epic with a powerful, almost contemplative atmosphere and a five-star cast that already made a big splash three years ago: now that its sequel is available in cinemas, it seems rather mischievous to admire (again?) the first opus.
The only downside is that you have to pay for renting it on SVOD platforms, except on MyCanal, which is also a paid service. However, via TF1+ at this addressit is possible to watch Dune without spending a Kopeck: all you need to do is opt for the seven-day free trial for the Premium plan, which you can cancel whenever you see fit during that first week. And presto, that’s it.
Two birds with one stone
As for “Dune, Second Part”, it seems that Denis Villeneuve has hit hard. On Rotten Tomatoes, the press gives it a splendid average of 93% (for 333 reviews at the time of writing!); among Internet users, it is even higher, peaking at 95% (for more than 2,500 verified reviews).
Many agree that it is one of the best science fiction films of the generation, in particular thanks to the ultra-slick staging of a director who knows how to link beautiful images to intensity: Blade Runner 2049, First Contact or Prisoners for example, it’s his work. “Dune, Part II is undoubtedly the science fiction film of the year and for me that of the current decade,” we told you in our review of the film just a few days ago. In short, go there with your eyes closed!
