While he is not in the spotlight because of his military service, he wanted to send a message to the people who support him.

It’s hard not to hear about BTS, even for those who absolutely don’t like k-pop. A true tidal wave in the music industry, this male group very quickly managed to establish itself well beyond South Korea. They have reached such a high stage of popularity that stars are snapping them up to do featurings, even visiting Joe Biden at the White House to raise awareness among young people about anti-Asian racism. In short, since 2013, nothing has stopped BTS, not even military service!

You may not know this, but in South Korea, military service is compulsory for all men. Obviously, it can be complicated for a k-pop group made up of men to continue their activities, even if some members continue to reach heights in the music rankings like Jungkook. However, military service does not prevent them from communicating with fans, far from it! This is the case of RM who took the time to send a message to the ARMYs (name given to BTS fans).

BTS’ RM communicates with his fans

Like the other members of the group, RM also left to do his military service. The leader of BTS, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, now spends his daily life in the South Korean army for a minimum period of 18 months. Although he is no longer in the spotlight, he still takes the time to send a message to his fans around the world. It was on the occasion of the Lunar New Year that RM sent a few sentences via the Weverse platform:

Hello ARMYs.

You’re doing well, aren’t you?
Since I joined the troop I belong to, I have spent my time adapting to it.

I also ate rice cake soup.

Since it’s New Year’s Day, I’m taking a break and having some fun.

I have to go another New Year’s Day before I can meet you all though,
I will do my best during this time. I think it will be another place to learn and experience.

Stay healthy anytime, anywhere.
I hope there will be more good things than bad.

My wish is that our story continues.
Good year !

In short, RM reassures his fans about his life in the South Korean army. A delicate attention since these admirers will no longer see him for several months which can seem very long. He’s not the only BTS member to take this initiative, as Jimin also shared his wishes in the same way, adding that he and his bandmate Jungkook are doing well.
