Anime are very numerous, and there are even entirely dedicated platforms. But if you like Japanese animation and you subscribe to Netflix, you will have something to do very soon. The SVOD platform has just announced a whole wave of anime, which will be included in the catalog in the coming months.
Many productions formerly exclusive to Crunchyroll are coming to Netflix
If you are a fan of anime and watch it very regularly, you may already have a Crunchyroll subscription. However, many viewers are occasional consumers, and feel they do not need a dedicated subscription. It is to these that Netflix addresses with this announcement: by the end of the year, many anime, whether films or seasons until now all exclusive to Crunchyroll, will enrich the offer of the SVOD platform. Among the anime expected on Netflix in 2024, there are four productions which will join the platform’s catalog from May 2024. We will first be entitled to the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, which will arrive on May 1st. Labor Day will also be marked by the adaptation of the work of Gege Akutami and Ballad Kitaguni, since we will have also straight to the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. After a two-week respite, on May 15, 2024, Netflix will allow its viewers to watch the entire first season of the anime One Punch Manas well as seasons 1 and 2 of the anime The Quintessential Quintuplets.

A busy program that will get even richer
Created in 2017 by Negi Haruba, The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-tōbun no hanayome) follows the adventures of Futaro Uesugi, a brilliant but broke high school student, who becomes the guardian of five sisters. Conceived as a romantic comedy, The Quintessential Quintuplets was a real publishing success throughout its publication. Composed of 14 volumes, the work was adapted into an anime in 2019.
