There was a lot of bad luck: The snowboard of a fallen man raced down the slope in the Ski Juwel in Alpbach and hit a woman further down – with painful consequences.
At around 10 a.m. on Friday, a 56-year-old German and her 53-year-old partner skied downhill in the Alpbach ski area. After the 56-year-old had completed the last steep slope, she was waiting for her partner, who had stopped at the top of the steep slope in question due to an obviously injured snowboarder Ride and after about 250 meters crashed into the 56-year-old with full force. As a result of the impact, she suffered severe injuries (fracture of the thigh neck) and was flown to the Schwaz hospital with the emergency helicopter.
