Currently free of charge instead of 1.99 euros: iPhone app does things differently

By now everyone should know the principle of drawing apps on iPhone and iPad. However, if you want to use “Asketch” you have to relearn something, because this creative app does things differently. Normally available for just under 2 euros, but currently free of charge.

2 euros saved: Unusual, but extremely simple drawing app for iPhone and iPad

With “Asketch” you get a kind of sketch pad. The special thing is certainly the way you draw on it, because the app for iPhone and iPad has one gesture-based drawing interface. For example, changing where your finger rests on the screen controls the center of gravity of the drawing. It’s unusual at first, but once you get used to it by trying it out, you can really live out your own creativity.

Important: There are no ads or in-app purchases. Free really is free. So you are currently saving 1.99 euros in the App Store. Likewise, no user data is recorded by the app. A tip: If you are looking for the toolbar when you first start the app – simply tap the drawing area with two fingers. You can get a color selection by long-pressing the pencil icon. In addition, there are always tips and tricks for operation, which are displayed above.

Before downloading please check the price as it is unknown how long the app will be free:

Is “Asketch” good at all?

Of course, the question arises: will such a different approach be accepted, what do previous users say about the app? The app store currently has 4.2 out of a maximum of 5 possible stars, but only 13 ratings. More popular is “Asketch” in the US store. There it hails positive 4.4 out of a maximum of 5 possible stars from over 160 reviews. An opinion should be singled out as an example (translated):

Amazing for sketching
This is the best app for sketching. The markings are very similar to using charcoal without the mess. I’ve been using this app for years and have tried many, many others including those promoted by Apple. None even comes close to this sketching program. With a limited number of tools, you get great results and don’t get bogged down in all the unnecessary options of more complicated apps. I hope the developer keeps this app going for many years to come as it is simply exquisite.

Short and good: Can you try it? – currently costs nothing and promises pretty good results. At least iOS 12.1 should be installed on the iPhone or iPad, and about 12 MB of free storage space is also required. It should be easy to find.
