Curse of the Sea Rats: The metroidvania will be released on April 6 on PC and consoles

Announced in 2019 before going through the Kickstarter box a year later, Curse of the Sea Rats was originally slated for release in 2021. Unfortunately, following various plan changes orchestrated by Petoons Studio as part of its development, the launch of the metroidvania has been pushed back several times. But, good news, this time, it seems that it is finally the right one for the title published by PQube which should arrive next April 6 on PC and consoles.

A boss-focused trailer to celebrate

In addition to sharing this information, the developers took the opportunity to release a new trailer of their production. About two months after introducing the main characters, it is the turn of the bosses that they will have to face during their journey to show themselves.

As a reminder, the Petoons Studio game will invite us to follow the story of four prisoners of the British Empire who were shipwrecked on the coasts of Ireland in the 18th century: David Douglas, Buffalo Calf, Bussa, and Akane Yamakawa.

Transformed into rats by the pirate and witch Flora Burn, they will have to capture her in the hope of becoming human again while fighting the enemies who will try to block their way including Krabawaki and King Clapper, Freddy Eightfingers, Rama Cinnamon and Banana as well as Fatso and Fatsie who belong to the crew of this one.

See you in just over two months to find out Curse of the Sea Rats on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
